Coalition for Rights & Safety for People in the Sex Trade is working on a number of legislative and policy change projects to enhance rights and safety for sex workers and people in the sex trade. Below is a list of some of the issues we are involved in.
- Human rights-based policies
- Safe access to medical and police assistance
- Police accountability
- HIV exposure/transmission law (including mandatory HIV testing for people convicted for prostitution)
- Decriminalizing prostitution for youth
- Homelessness, quality of life policing, and ending encampment sweeps
- Protection for “contractor” workers such as dancers
- Responding to and ending massage parlor raids
